"Businesses are a labour of love & small business owners are the heart of our communities. The opportunity to support these hard working entrepreneurs along their journey is both an honour and a privilege"
Canadian born Tasha Da Silva, was raised in the West Coast village of Steveston, BC. Growing up in a Portugeuese-Indian family, she has always held a strong sense of spirituality from her Roman Catholic upbringing. With roots tracing back to Goa, India, her parents came to Canada as refugees from Africa in the 1970's: under the Pierre Trudeau administration they escaped the brutal regime of African dictator Idi Amin Dada, known as 'The Butcher of Uganda'. Tasha's parents instilled a strong sense of community service through years of active philanthropy, with a direct positive impact to organizations throughout the city of Richmond.
When her older brother Dax Dasilva decided to launch Lightspeed POS in 2005, it wasn't long before she would embark on a journey to change the trajectory of her life. Committing to become a Lightspeed partner and move into the tech-industry, she attended the first annual Lightspeed Certification Camp in 2007, held in Montreal, Canada.
Over the next decade Tasha became one of the highest certified Lightspeed resellers in Western Canada and implemented their software suite in over 100+ retail locations across North America. In 2012, Tasha moved to the interior of BC to plant roots in the lush Okanagan Valley to raise her daughter Olivia. Founding Infuse I.T. with the assistance of the Community Futures Entrepreneurial Program, she quickly became a trusted business consultant to many entrepreneurs looking to grow their small businesses throughout the BC Interior. She brings valued sales, marketing and implementation experience into every new client relationship and continues to cultivate strong ties to the Lightspeed POS family
By 2016, Tasha recognized an opportunity to leverage the Lightspeed API to expand the feature ecosystem to include Membership Management. Joining the Accelerate Okanagan - Venture Acceleration Program, Infuse I.T. commenced building its flagship product VinStream. Tasha's vast experience with Lightspeed has been instrumental in guiding the development of VinStream, and after a successful beta program the software officially launched in 2018.
An advocate for women in Technology and committed to philanthropic service, she continues to contribute to local communities by combining her love of technology and social connectivity with her belief in cultivating social change through hard work and leadership.
